It has been awhile since I have posted anything. Which is not to say that I haven't been reading everybody else's blogs. I think I just needed a break for a while.

So to get up to speed....

Mom - she's home and doing really well. She was in the hospital for 5 weeks. It is amazing how less stressful it is with her being home. For weeks all I did was work, and go to the hospital. Did wonders for my diet, lost 10 lbs. Of course I'm making up for that now.... Mom got the bill the other day for hospital stay, 5 weeks, $400,000. The pharmacy bill alone was $200,000. I hate to think what would have happened if she didn't have insurance. But she looks great and has all kind of energy right now. Which is great to see. The crappy part is that she is about to start round 2 of chemo in a few weeks. So life is going to suck again a week or two after the chemo begins, but she'll be home, so that will help. It's weird having your parents go through this, sometimes I think I act like it's happening to me. I mean really all I do is hang out with my mom and watch her sleep, when it's really bad, or talk about family stuff when she has the energy, and it's the most draining, stressful and painful thing I have ever been through. And I, she, gets to go through this 3 more times. It will be a stressful year....

So I decided I need a vacation and want to go snorkeling. So I am trying to make plans to go to Honduras of all places. But I can't wait. I want to swim with the fishes and drink like one at night. Keep your fingers crossed, it could happen. Might be the craziest thing I ever do....
